Diane Griffiths has been a full time painter and printmaker since the 1980's. After graduating in illustration she became interested in etching and attended workshops at Gainsborough's House in Suffolk. In 1987 she moved to Norfolk to set up her business, Etchings Et Cetera, supplying prints and cards to over a hundred galleries throughout the UK, including the V&A Craftshop, Manchester Royal Exchange and Paperchase in London.

In her printmaking Diane has become increasingly interested in form and colour and consequently has moved from etchings to collographs which allow a more painterly approach. In recent years Diane has concentrated more and more on colourist painting with particular reference to landscape. She is deeply engaged in exploring the possibilities of paint on canvas, of colour and texture. Although moving towards abstraction, her recent paintings are anchored in her love of Norfolk landscape, particularly the farmland and commonland around Syderstone and the North Norfolk coast and marshland.

She has exhibited her paintings throughout the UK in both solo and mixed shows. In 2003 she was artist in residence for the Poetry next the Sea festival in Norfolk and was commissioned by North Norfolk District Council to provide a large work for a concert showcasing contemporary music in conjunction with the Britten Sinfonia.
