Celebrating 25 Years
I think it is great to see such high quality works being offered at a price that is affordable. I purchased one of Robert's oils of avocets at Rye recently to add to a collection of the woodcut prints and look forward to seeing the exhibition next week in Holt.
Just to answer Geoff Vine's points - Robert's woodcuts are all limited edition and no editions are extended. Plates are always cancelled when the edition is sold out. The prices are his decision to keep prints accessible. Paintings are higher priced, and have increased in value over the years.
Great work. Affordable and good, BUT the Greenhalf paintings and prints are priced too low. As collectors the prices need to move somewhat so that what we have bought before over the years see added value. Although we love art for its own sake we also like to see appreciation in value. Also are the prints limited editions since some of these I have bought before in say edition100 I would not like to think they are extended editions, eg swallows and kingfisher prints. Thanks
A wonderful eclectic collection of work. Loved everything on show but really inspired by the work of Sally Tyrie.
Wonderful and eclectic! I wish I could go to the exhibition but living in Australia makes it a bit difficult - however, I may buy something for Christmas!
It looks really good, with a great variety of work. Looking forward to visiting the Gallery again. (By the way, I like the look of your Website. It looks better every month!
