Alison Graham studied Contemporary Applied Arts at Cumbria University where she gained a BA (Hons). Her MA was in Ceramics at University of Wales Institute, Cardiff.
Alison is a ceramic artist working with mono-printing techniques and porcelain paper-clay. Her work is predominantly wall-based, although she also makes a range of vessels and lanterns.
Working from a shared studio in Cardiff, south Wales, Alison explores and develops findings from her PhD research in Ceramics concerning the creation of illusory depth and movement on the surface of ceramic artworks. She also teaches evening classes in Pottery and lectures part-time as an Associate Lecturer in Fine Art at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
